Testing for celiac disease can be expensive. (Especially if you do not have health insurance!) Now, it doesn’t have to be. Imaware has come up with a product that will help you get the answers you need. If you are curious about celiac disease, or if you have it, this test is for you. You can take the test in your own time for a budget friendly cost.

I have a series on my YouTube channel, where I test products and share my thoughts with my viewers. The series is called “is it worth it?” and I try, taste, or review products before you spend your money! I give you my in-depth thoughts on the product and the company as a whole. Today, I am going to be telling you if I think the at-home celiac disease test from imaware is worth it.

This post is NOT sponsored. I was given this test (for free) in exchange for a 100% honest review. As always, my opinions are my own.

When I met representatives from imaware at the Utah Nourished Festival, I was intrigued. I had heard about their company and products through social media but I wasn’t totally sold. If you aren’t aware of who imaware is, they are a company that offers at home celiac disease testing, celiac disease monitoring and a rheumatoid arthritis test. They are also in the works of releasing a heart disease test and prostate cancer test.

When it came to taking the test, it was super simple. Imaware included everything that would be needed for the blood sample and detailed instructions. When you open your testing kit, you will see instructions sheet, a micro test tube for blood sample (with your information on it!), two lancets, an alcohol wipe and a bandage. They also included a return label for your sample. (If you need a little more help collecting blood, imaware has videos available on their YouTube channel.)

I followed the instructions and took the test on a Tuesday and shipped it the same day. I was thinking that I would be waiting 5-7 business days for my results, but was surprised to see my results just two days later. I received an email with a link to my results on Thursday afternoon/early evening. Imaware does state that it can take up to five days to receive the results.

When it comes to the celiac disease test, the test is looking for elevated biomarkers. Imaware states, “We utilize the highly sensitive and specific Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) Antibody, or tTG-IgA biomarker for screening the majority of celiac disease patients.” These are the markers that your doctor would also screen you for. You can be reassured that your results are accurate because your report will be approved by physicians that work with imaware. These results are easy to read and ready to share with your preferred local physicians.

In my opinion, this test is worth it. It is only $99 and you get everything you need to get the results you are looking for. If you are interested in trying the test out for yourself, click here.
